Buy inline skates with 3 x 110 mm wheels
With three wheels of 110 mm each, the frame is shorter than with four wheels of the same size. The result is a skate that is easy to steer through corners and still rolls briskly. For many fitness skaters, 3 x 110 mm is a balanced middle ground between the agile 3 x 100 mm and the fast 3 x 125 mm.
Powerslide R4: two mounting options
In this category you will find the Powerslide R4 in two versions. The difference lies in how the boot and frame are connected:
- Powerslide R4 Trinity: The frame is attached at three points using Powerslide's Trinity System. This puts your foot closer to the ground.
- Powerslide R4 195 mm: Here the frame is screwed on with the common 195 mm mounting distance. This is practical if you later want to use a different frame with 195/165 mm mounting.
Tips for making the switch
If you have previously skated on skates with four smaller wheels, you will usually need a few sessions to get used to the higher stance and the shorter frame. Practise braking on a clear, level surface and wear protective gear. Replacements for worn wheels can be found under 110mm wheels.
