Custom-Made Boots: made-to-measure speed skate boots
With a speed skate, the fit determines comfort and power transfer. The stiff boot should enclose the foot without any play, but must not press anywhere. Off-the-shelf boots do not achieve this for every foot, for example with very narrow or wide feet, a pronounced heel or misalignments. A Custom-Made Boot is therefore tailored to your individual foot.
Bont Vaypor Custom Made
In this category we offer the Bont Vaypor as a Custom-Made version. It is based on an impression of your foot, from which the boot is made. As it is a one-off made to order, thorough preparation is worthwhile.
What you should clarify in advance
- Intended use: Training, marathons or track racing place different demands on the boot.
- Mounting: Decide which mounting distance should match your frame, for example for frames with 195/165 mm mounting.
- Previous experience: Note where older boots have pressed or chafed. These notes help with the manufacturing.
