Boots without frames for speed skates and speed fitness skates
A boot without a frame, often called boot only, is the right choice if you want to put your skate together yourself. You combine the boot with a frame of your choice and decide on the number and size of wheels yourself. And if you want to keep using an existing frame, you only need a new boot.
Models in this category
- Bont Jet 2 Point Boot only: a race boot from Bont for speed skaters, with 195 mm mounting.
- Bont Semi Race Boot only 2 PT: a speed fitness boot from Bont. The suffix 2 PT stands for the two-point mounting of the frame.
- ProSkate En-try: a boot from ProSkate.
What to look for when combining
- Mounting distance: Boot and frame must have the same mounting system. 195 mm and 165 mm between the two mounting points are common.
- Wheel size: Check which wheel size the frame takes and whether there is enough clearance between the wheel and the sole of the boot.
- Screws: After the first few skates, check whether the mounting screws are still tight.
You will find suitable frames under Frames, especially with 195/165 mm mounting.
