Protection & clothing

Buy protective gear and sportswear for inline skaters

If you skate regularly, you need more than just good skates. Helmet and pads reduce the risk of injury in a fall, functional clothing gives you freedom of movement, and a suitable bag gets your equipment safely to training. In this section we have brought together everything you need apart from the skate itself, including products from Powerslide, Rollerblade, K2, Swiss Eye, Cado Motus and Salomon.

Protection: helmet, pads and Kevlar

The helmet is the most important part of your protective gear. Add to that knee and elbow pads, gloves and padded protective pants. You will find everything for fall protection in the protective gear collection, divided into helmets, pads and Kevlar protection. For children there are ready-made protection sets such as the K2 Schutzset junior. Which items make sense for your use is explained in our guide Protective gear for inline skating.

Clothing, bags and sunglasses

• Sportswear: race suits, tights, jackets and shirts for training and competition, including models from Powerslide, Rollerblade and team clothing under the Speedskating Shop name. More on this under sportswear.
• Backpacks and bags: from the hip bag for your tour to the skate bag for competitions.
• Sunglasses: sports glasses from Swiss Eye and Powerslide keep sun, wind and insects out of your eyes.
• Sports shoes: Salomon shoes for Nordic walking and for skiking.

Putting together the right equipment

When buying, make sure that the individual items suit your sport. A speed skater on the race track needs slim pads and a tight-fitting suit, while a recreational skater needs sturdier protectors and comfortable clothing. Helmet and pads should fit firmly without pinching or slipping. It is best to try on several sizes, which you can do at any time in our shop in Villingen-Schwenningen. Many items combine well, so you quickly reach the threshold for free shipping: from an order value of €150.
