Sports sunglasses for inline skating and outdoor sports
When skating, your eyes are exposed to sun, wind, dust and insects. Well-fitting sports glasses keep these out and help you spot uneven asphalt, loose chippings or branches on the path in good time. In this collection you will find sports sunglasses from Swiss Eye and Powerslide.
Our models
- Swiss Eye Freeride Sunglasses

What matters in sports glasses
Fit: The glasses must stay firmly in place even during fast movements and in the forward-leaning posture of a speed skater. Make sure the arms and nose pads do not press, including under your helmet. Ideally, try the glasses on together with your helmet.
Shape: Curved lenses that wrap far round the sides protect better against wind and light coming in from the side than flat lenses.
Tint: Dark lenses are intended for bright, sunny days. If you often skate in the woods or in changing light, a lighter tint works better, because shadows on the path are otherwise hard to make out.
UV protection: With any pair of sunglasses, check the information on UV protection. The tint alone tells you nothing about it.
To go with your glasses
Sports glasses complement your protective gear, but of course they do not replace a helmet. You will find suitable models under Helmets. When off-road skating on farm tracks and forest paths, glasses are also useful, because more dust and small stones are thrown up there. Clothing, bags and further protective gear can be found under Protection & clothing.
