Buy Ankle Booties: neoprene blister protection
Blisters and chafing occur when the shoe rubs against the skin with every movement. The ankles, heels and toes are often affected, for example in tight speed skates, ice skates, running shoes or hiking boots. Ankle Booties sit as a thin layer between skin and sock, so the friction no longer acts directly on the skin.
The models at a glance
- eZeefit Ankle Booties and eZeefit Ankle Booties SKIN: neoprene socks for the ankle and heel area in two versions.
- eZeefit Toe Booties: toe protection for anyone who suffers from pressure points and blisters in the toe area.
- Powerslide Footies ankle protection: Powerslide's version for the ankle area.
The right thickness
Ankle Booties come in different material thicknesses. As a rule: the tighter the shoe, the thinner the material should be, so that it does not add pressure. If you have pronounced pressure points and a little room in the shoe, a thicker material provides better cushioning. If you are unsure, start with a thinner version and test it during a shorter session.
Putting them on correctly
Pull the booties directly onto dry, clean skin and put your usual sports sock over them. Make sure the neoprene lies smoothly without creases, as creases can themselves cause new pressure points. Further tips can be found in our guide Avoiding blisters and pressure points when inline skating.
Ankle Booties are a useful addition to Speed skates and Ice skates, but can also be worn in many other sports shoes.
