Buy snowboard boots: remaining stock from our clearance sale
The boot is the connection between you and the board. If it does not fit properly, every movement arrives with a delay and long days on the slopes become uncomfortable. Some models are still available in our sell-off: the Snowboard Boot Trans 84, the Freeride Axces Tiger, the BD Snowboard Boot and the SnowPro StepIn. As these are clearance items, not every model is still available in every size.
How a snowboard boot should fit
- Heel: The heel should sit firmly in the heel cup and hardly lift when you lean forward.
- Toes: When standing upright, your toes may lightly touch the front. As soon as you bend your knees into the riding position, they should get a little room.
- Socks: Try on boots with the socks you will wear when riding. Thick cotton socks are unsuitable; thin technical socks give better support.
- Breaking in: New boots give a little after the first few days. A slight, even feeling of tightness at the beginning is normal, but localised pressure points are not.
Soft or stiff?
A softer boot is more forgiving and makes turning easier for beginners. A stiffer boot transmits movements more directly and gives more support at high speed and off-piste. With the SnowPro StepIn, note that step-in boots require a matching step-in binding system and do not fit every conventional binding.
Matching boot, binding and board
Your boot size also determines the binding size and the required board width. If you want to buy boots and board together, you will still find clearance items among the board and binding sets and among the individual boards. You can read what to look out for when combining them in our guide Combining board, bindings and boots correctly. You will find the entire sell-off in the collection Snowboards.
