Skates with 3 x 125 mm wheels: speed for experienced skaters
125 mm is the largest common wheel diameter for inline skates on the road. Three of these large wheels roll easily over joints and rough asphalt and maintain speed with little effort. Because a three-wheel frame stays relatively short, the skate is still easy to steer. Many speed skates use this setup; in this category you will find it as a training skate for fitness skating.
K2 Redline 125 and Powerslide Brake 125 mm
The K2 Redline 125 is a training skate with 3 x 125 mm wheels for ambitious fitness skaters. To match the wheel size, you will also find the Powerslide Brake 125 mm, which can be retrofitted to skates with 125 mm wheels. It is best to check with us before buying whether the brake fits your frame.
What to look out for
- Experience: The high stance on large wheels requires good balance. Those new to speed fitness often start with 3 x 100 mm or 4 x 90 mm.
- Braking distance: At high speed, your braking distance gets longer. Practise braking specifically before skating on slopes or in traffic.
- Replacement wheels: For this setup you need wheels with a 125 mm diameter, which you will find under our 125 mm wheels.
